Submission Guidelines

By submitting your film to the 2nd Edition of the Inland Independent Film Festival (IIFF), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions: Eligibility & Format

✓IIFF accepts short films of all genres completed from 2020 onwards. The maximum running time is 20 minutes, including credits. Films exceeding this limit will not be considered.

✓ Language & Subtitles
All international films must include embedded English subtitles. Films in Portuguese do not require subtitles for submission, though English subtitles are strongly encouraged to support international curatorship and promotion.

✓ Selection & Screening
All submitted films are reviewed by the festival curatorial team. Films that meet our artistic standards receive the Official Selection recognition and are eligible for awards.

✓ Only the Category Winners are invited to participate in the in-person screening in Araraquara, Brazil. Screening Rights
By submitting your film, you grant IIFF the right to screen it publicly only if selected as a Category Winner, in a single, free public screening. Under special circumstances, online exhibition may also occur, with prior notice.

✓ Delivery of Screening Copy
Award-winning filmmakers must provide a high-quality digital file (H.264 / MP4) via a secure download link (Vimeo or Drive) within the timeframe requested after notification.

✓ Copyright & Responsibility
Filmmakers retain full ownership of their work and are solely responsible for clearing all copyrighted material included in the film.

✓ Technical Responsibility
All technical aspects of the submitted file — including functionality, resolution, and subtitles — are the responsibility of the filmmaker. Files that do not function properly or do not meet subtitle requirements may be disqualified without refund.

✓ Fees & Refunds
Submission fees, when applicable, are non-refundable. Films submitted in previous editions must not be resubmitted.

✓ Festival Changes & Communication
IIFF reserves the right to modify dates or venues due to logistical needs or unforeseen circumstances. All filmmakers will be informed via email and official online channels.

✓ Terms & Communication
By submitting, you agree to IIFF’s terms and conditions and to receive festival-related communications. Personal data will never be shared with third parties.

✓ We reserve the right to update our terms and conditions.

IIFF is a small, independent festival built through care, collaboration, and shared responsibility. Our decisions are always guided by attention, dialogue, and respect for the circumstances surrounding each edition.

These dates mark the rhythm of the festival — from the first submissions to the moment when films and audiences finally meet.

Dates, Venue & Unforeseen Circumstances

The IIFF physical screening is planned to take place in Araraquara, São Paulo, Brazil. However, as an independent festival operating within real-world conditions, dates and venues may be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances or logistical needs. 

Should any changes occur, all updates will be communicated clearly and promptly through our official website and Instagram page, ensuring transparency and continued dialogue with filmmakers and the public.

IIFF exists as a living process — shaped by people, places, and moments. By submitting your film, you become part of this journey: a shared effort to create space, however small, for cinema to be seen, felt, and remembered.

Who we are

Bonini Filmes is a Brazilian film production company that emerged in 2011 due to filmmaker Guilherme Bonini's interest in creating and producing independent cultural projects. His films toured the world at various festivals and received several awards. Always with the aim of telling stories. The mission is to provide experiences through image and sound, offering aesthetic and narrative innovation. IIFF appears to promote independent cinema in the world, proposing diversity, opportunity and sharing incredible films in a democratic way.
